Interviewed on PodioMedia Chat

On January 6th, 2011 I had a chat with Chris Moody on his awesome podcast Podio Media Chat. We talked about how I write, podcast, get ideas, and all kinds of other fun stuff. Go have a listen, and after you listen to my interview, you'll find that he's probably interviewed all of your favorite Podiobooks authors, so there's a lot of great content in his podcast.

Here is it on his site:

Helsa’s Secret Ingredient is Now Available

My Every Photo Tells short story "Helsa's Secret Ingredient" has been recorded and is now available! I just listened to it, and they did an excellent job. It was so cool to hear someone else do a reading of my work; that's a first for me. It must be what professional authors feel like the first time they hear one of their novels as an audio book. It was an awesome experience! They also made a few little edits here and there to my story, and made it much better. They're doing great stuff, I highly recommend submitting a story to Every Photo Tells. It is too much fun, and a great experience.

I Made the Cut!

There is a really cool podcast called Every Photo Tells. The idea is, they post an interesting photo on their website, and people come up with short story ideas from the photo, and then submit their short stories. I've thought about doing it for a while, and I finally gave it a shot. I'm proud to say that they accepted my story. The photo my story was inspired by can be seen here on the right. The coolest part about all of this to me is that someone other than I will be recording my story. I'm going to get to hear my words spoken through someone else's voice. The other cool part is that there are two people who read for this podcast, and my story has two main characters, a husband and wife. So I'm going to get to hear two people reading my words! Those two are Katharina Maimer and Mick Bordet; excellent narrators with really cool accents. I'm so excited, I can't wait to hear it. The episode with my short story "Helsa's Secret Recipe" will be posting soon and I'll be sure to let you know. In the mean time, go and check out the site, and listen to some stories by the many great writers who've submitted to them.
