I'm in a Parsec Awards promo!

I was approached by my friend, Michell Plested of the Get Published & Galaxy Billies podcasts, to add my voice to a Parsec Awards promo he wrote. Not only was I really excited to finally lend my voice to a project, but his promo is really funny! Mike shows up at my door in the middle of the night, having traveled some 600 miles from Canada, just to tell me about the Parsec Awards. You've got to hear it. It can be found in the link above, or better yet in his latest episode of Get Published, Episode 29 – Nathan Lowell’s Journey to Publication. You can hear Mike interview my favorite podiobooks author, Nathan Lowell, right after the promo plays at 11:06.

UPDATE on my first podcast episode:

I have 14½ minutes produced now of my first short story, "Good Things Come in Small Packages. It's going to drop hopefully sometime later this week, so stay tuned! I thought I'd be done by now, but I've added background music and some sound effects, so it's taking longer. That said, I think it will be worth it in the end, I'm really happy with the way it's turning out.

I've chosen a new song for my first PodFic Episode!

So, I've chosen a song I found on to use for the intro music, instead of what you hear in the blog post below, which was a little snippet from a band I was in when I lived in Seattle. I really like the new song I've chosen, I think it fits the mood of the story much better. Let me know what you think. I'll only be using the first part of the song for my short story podcast episode, so you won't be hearing any bag-pipe type sounds as you hear in the full song below.

You can find the music audio for download here.
