My New Way of Wriitng

A new way I've been writing is on my Blackberry. I'm not saying it's ideal, but you'd be surprised how fast you can get used to the little keyboard. I was a skeptic myself. It fits into my busy life. The other day I was waiting for an order to come out in a restaurant for about 10 minutes. I pulled out my blackberry and wrote quite a few long paragraphs while I waited. I use the time I'm not writing to solidify what I'm going to write next, so when I finally have even ten minutes to write, the words just fly out. I used to always try to carry note cards and pen, but they're easy to lose. In my blackberry, I just hit save, or email it to myself, and it's backed up. Also, since it's my phone, I always have it with me. No more notes on scraps of paper! I wrote this very blogpost from my Blackberry.

  1. Et tu, Dan? Sheesh, I guess I'm going to have to enter this century at some point. I've actually thought about getting me one of those new fandangle things a number of times. I carry a small pad of paper and write when I'm in line too. I don't lose the pad but I have to write really small to fit all that I want to write on that itty bitty little pad...sure would be nice if I had a virtual endless pad. ;)

  2. You don't know how pumped I am that you're commenting on my writing blog. How did you find it? I'm really curious. Once I release my first novel as a podcast I expect much more traffic, but until then, I only expected friends, and they never leave comments :) Its really nice having a word processor in my pocket.

  3. It's me! Nila White (tmso, froghopper, N.E. White, etc.) from Critters. I go by a lot of different nicknames. Sorry for the confusion.

  4. Ah! Cool. Now I want to go see which story was yours that I critiqued a while back. Happy writing!

  6. remember Mice, not Dragons. It's one of the best critters stories I've read, I've only been doing it for a few months now, but still, that's a lot when you do at least one story a week. I'm not just saying that, I really enjoyed your story. I look forward to reading more, and now I know what name to look for on critters! :)
