I Made the Cut!

There is a really cool podcast called Every Photo Tells. The idea is, they post an interesting photo on their website, and people come up with short story ideas from the photo, and then submit their short stories. I've thought about doing it for a while, and I finally gave it a shot. I'm proud to say that they accepted my story. The photo my story was inspired by can be seen here on the right. The coolest part about all of this to me is that someone other than I will be recording my story. I'm going to get to hear my words spoken through someone else's voice. The other cool part is that there are two people who read for this podcast, and my story has two main characters, a husband and wife. So I'm going to get to hear two people reading my words! Those two are Katharina Maimer and Mick Bordet; excellent narrators with really cool accents. I'm so excited, I can't wait to hear it. The episode with my short story "Helsa's Secret Recipe" will be posting soon and I'll be sure to let you know. In the mean time, go and check out the site, and listen to some stories by the many great writers who've submitted to them.

UPDATE

The episode is available! Find it here.

  1. Thanks for writing the story - it has a great feel of the traditional fairytale to it - and I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun recording it! I hope you and your readers enjoy the story and some of the others they find at EPT.

I hope they go check out other stories on your site like I have been! Thanks again for the great comment, I'm really excited to hear the story. :)
