A New Book Project

Hello! It is good to be back in the fiction world. Ever since I became a pastoral intern, then a pastor, and then an overseas missionary, I have not had time to either read fiction or write any of my own. I wouldn't change a thing and have absolutely loved my career change from 3D artist, for 17 years, to Pastor. I've gone from creating 3D art to writing sermons, teaching Bible classes, and leading worship music on guitar. I love it! And I'm learning Spanish to be able to minister to people in Guatemala. Another big time sync in my life I have loved has been seminary. After 4 years of taking few classes at a time I slowly earned a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological studies from Western Seminary. Ministry and Spanish classes still take up much of my time, and are the most important thing to me after time with my family, but now I have some time to write fiction again. I've also been reading it a lot more lately and I even started back up my book review podcast as you can see in the last post.

I have plans to write a Science Fiction Young Adult novel called "Flying Away From Home," the cover of which I started this post with.

Here is the story summary:

Tray Burnside used to fly dangerous missions next to his father Ken, navigating through tight spots to salvage space parts most pilots wouldn't attempt to recover. His dad always had a way with selling at the planet-side markets too. That’s not possible now, and with Ken’s passing Trey took a chance and took his father’s spaceship, which his new step-mother was selling to pay for Trey’s college, and ran away from home to make a life for himself in another star system. Now Trey flies alongside another lost soul, Kurt Wogs, looking to survive the dark infinite stars one salvage run at a time; and their cobbled together ship-bot isn't much of a cook or translator.

And if you missed it, I also finally released a new fiction story around Halloween called "The Night the Lights Came On." Follow that link and you can listen to it for free in audio and purchase it as an eBook. Here's what that story is about: Running from his problems, Cody accidentally stumbles on the abandoned old Blackwood mansion. It's been abandoned for decades ever since its owner Jonathan Blackwood mysteriously disappeared. But tonight, the lights are on. Cody texts his friend Tom and they venture inside to solve the mystery of what is going on inside.

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
